Snowflake Challenge 2018: Day 9
In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
I almost put a fic a I already recced last year. I'm only going to focus on 2017, and luckily, I have quite the choice. :)
Remember when I talked about that comment that almost made me cry? Well, that was for this fanfic:
Interlude (11930 words)
Fandom: Supernatural, The Amazing Spider-Man (Movies - Webb)
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings
Relationships: Peter Parker/Sam Winchester
Characters: Sam Winchester, Peter Parker
Additional Tags: Getting Together, Angst, Hurt Sam Winchester, Hurt Peter Parker, Canon-Typical Violence, Season/Series 07-08 hiatus
Summary: Sam's interlude in New York: meeting a Spider, getting hurt, and feeling at home.
Like I said on that post: I started to write in 2015, and only finished it last year (thought it was supposed to be longer but DEADLINES). It's my longest work in English ever (as a secondary language) and it received more success that I'd ever imagine (16 kudos is wow for this)! I mean it's about a weird crossover pairing nobody ever heard/thought of/written about. So, yeah, I didn't expect much. I'm proud of what I accomplished, and it gave me back my confidence about my ability to tell a story in English.

Staying in familiar territory, the next rec is:
A Rather Peculiar Number (1844 words)
Fandom: Person of Interest (TV), Marvel Cinematic Universe, Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Harold Finch & John Reese
Characters: John Reese, Harold Finch, Peter Parker, Tony Stark
Additional Tags: Crossover, crossovering treat, Post-Spider-Man: Homecoming
Summary: Victim or perpetrator, John will find out in which category Peter Parker fits in.
I love crossovers, and last year I had the pleasure to participate in the Crossovering Exchange. I wrote three fanfics for this challenge: the mandatory one, a pinch hit and a treat. This fic is the treat. The prompt caught my eyes the first time, but I didn't get it. Every time I'd come back on AO3 to look at the challenge page, it would always jump at me. So when I finished writing the pinch hit, and realized I had like 1 day left in the challenge, I just told myself "Just do it even if you don't finish it in time."
I started writing at probably 10 a.m. and published around 9 p.m. (while doing other things). It's not perfect, I see the flaws but I was so pumped during the writing process that I didn't/don't really care. I hadn't felt this feeling for some time. It was fun.

I rec this fanfic not for writing reason:
Give, Earn, Keep (2585 words)
Fandom: Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Marvel Cinematic Universe
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Peter Parker & Tony Stark
Characters: Tony Stark, Peter Parker, Thaddeus Ross
Additional Tags: Post-Spider-Man: Homecoming, Protective Tony Stark, Tony Stark Feels, Trope Bingo Round 9
Summary: Tony promised to protect Peter at all costs. Not entirely surprising, Ross wants Spider-Man to sign the Accords, which would force him to reveal his identity. Tony did what he should have done months ago: get the kid out of here, out of his mess.
This little nugget has nothing special. It's not that original or well-written. I'm reccing this fic for the fandom, particularly the "Tony & Peter" part with all the dad!feels and kid!spider. They are just phenomenal. They are all kind, enthusiastic and... it feels nice to be around them. Seriously. I'm not really part of fandoms anymore because of all the negativity I felt at the time. The only way I interact with others is through fanfics basically. What a surprise to fall in that small part of the giant MCU (and more generally Marvel) fandom. Every time I post a fanfic with Tony & Peter, they send a mountain of love. They're just great.

And lastly, though, only French-speakers be would able to understand:
[PODFIC] A coeur ouvert (10 words)
Fandom: Supernatural
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Characters: Dean Winchester, Sam Winchester
Additional Tags: Suicidal Thoughts, Alcohol Abuse/Alcoholism, Implied/Referenced Underage Prostitution, Podfic Length: 10-20 Minutes, Episode: s05e14 My Bloody Valentine, Coda, Detox, Canon-Typical Violence
Summary: Deux fils qui attendent la mort : l'un hurle dans une boîte de plomb, l'autre se pend au fil de sa lame. C'est ce qui arrive, sans doute, quand on triche avec l'amour. Post 5x14 "My Bloody Valentine".
First podfic ever. It was fun and exhausting and scary but I keep a really good memory of that process. I spent a whole weekend recording, rerecording and editing. It's weird to hear your own voice until you don't even recognise it. I made mistakes, it's not loud enough, I should've prepared more but I'm really proud of what I did. I'd like to do it again, but I need to set a time and just commit otherwise I'll never do it.
(There's also the fact that my writing is finally back in full swing and I don't want to lose it again)
