Masterpost | Day 8
In your own space, share a favorite piece of original canon (a TV episode, a song, a favorite interview, a book, a scene from a movie, etc) and explain why you love it so much. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
At first I was going to talk about a movie (Memento by Christopher Nolan) because it's one of my all-time favorite movies that I watched several time but I changed my mind. Instead, I'm going to talk comics, and one in particular: SODA.
SODA (Wikipedia) is the story of David Solomon (So-Da), a NYC cop who lives with his mother, Mary. She doesn't know he's a cop, and he does everything to hide it from her because of her weak heart (and the fact that her late husband was Sheriff and was killed on the job). She thinks he's a priest.

I love this comic book. I read almost all the volumes several times. It's part of my childhood/teenage years comics. The situation is ridiculous: a cop disguising himself as a priest to avoid upsetting his mother. The whole city knows Soda isn't a priest but his mother is still oblivious. The character, Soda, is smart, kinda lonely cowboy, and a crack shot. I love all the characters, qualities and flaws.
Favourite volumes:
Note: I think Soda is my first fictional crush. For real.
